Nowadays is a mirror, not a medical service. It's a private space to reflect on your relationship. It does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a support line right away.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Nowadays ("Nowadays", "we", "us") governing your use of the Nowadays app and related services (the "Service"). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and at least 13) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You sign in through Apple or Google. You're responsible for keeping your device and your app PIN secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Because your journal is protected by a PIN and, optionally, biometrics, keep those safe, since we cannot recover encrypted content on your behalf.
Your entries are yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you write, and because your entries are encrypted on your device (and, if enabled, in your backup) we cannot read them. You are responsible for what you choose to record.
The core of Nowadays is free. Nowadays More is an optional auto-renewable subscription that adds encrypted backup, deeper chart views, and data export.
Purchases are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple's applicable terms.
Don't use the Service to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
The Service, including its software, design, name, and branding, belongs to Nowadays and is protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or to copy or resell the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nowadays is a personal reflection tool and is not a substitute for professional advice or care of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nowadays will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access to it, if you materially breach these Terms or where required for legal or security reasons.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
